Tasty Tuesday: Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles are my husband's favorite cookie. Here's the recipe I use. These cookies are delightful!
Snickerdoodles
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened (I always use butter)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Heat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, beat 1 1/2 cups of sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; blend well. Add flour, cream of tarter, baking soda and salt. Mix well. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon (I play with these amounts-adjusting them to my liking.) Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll balls in sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely.

Oh my gosh..I made dozens of those one time for a fundraiser at church and my daughter ate tons of them one night. Anyway, ever since then she can't stand them! LOL..she ate like 10 of them!!!
I love those w/ coffee or tea! Mmmmm!
I'm home... where are the cookies?!?!!?
Oops!! I guess it's sort of mean to post an old picture. Guess I'll have to do some baking this week!
Ohhhh...those look yummy! How about making it easy on me and just send me some of yours...
YUM and thanks for the recipe. Is that a pampered chef stone? I love my stone.
Wow. This recipe is waaaaaay different from the one I used. Can't wait to try it. I'm sure my kids won't mind if I make snickerdoodles 2x in a week. I don't think the first ones that came out as snickerdoodle piles really count, though.

oh these are my very favorites too!
Oh I love, love, love snickerdoodles! They are so yummy!
I craved these when I was pregnant with my last. Yummy. 7-11 actually has a pretty good one. My husband would run out and get them 3 for a dollar.
Snickerdoodles definately take me back. What a great tackle.
They look yummy. I will try and alternate the recipe to gluten free and see if my little guy would like those
