"You can't fight identity theft...with a caffeine deficiency"

We were robbed online. All of our money was stolen out of our online bank accounts. We just found out today that the Federal Trade Comission (FTC) considers that identify theft.

I am not really blogging about this. My husband did. Check out the story at: The Other Side of 30

I love this line: "you can't fight identity theft on an empty stomach and with a caffeine deficiency".

what a terrible thing... I am glad it was found out so quickly. I live most every month with about $170 left at the end of the month, so I know the feeling :-)

Just read the story over there. Wow. I pray it takes less than 3-5 business days to get the money back. Holy moly. Thank God huby discovered it right away.

Just read your and your husband's posts. We have had a credit card number stolen (through an online purchase), and although it didn't have an immediate financial impact like what you are experiencing it's still SO frustrating. I'll have you in my thoughts!

I went and read Seth's post. Jane Anne, I am SO sorry this has happened to you, too. We had our identity stolen back in 2005, and it was very difficult. I will pray specifically for you to trust the Lord even in this and to feel His protection when it is tough to do so.

I read your husband's post and that is just awful. So glad that he caught it in time. We had someone charge some stuff on our credit card once and that was upsetting enough.

Oh Jane Anne...how aweful. I am so sorry that this happened. I see it, but I believe it can't happen to me or my friends. But reading your story, I think I need to change my beliefs. And so scary to think that EVERYTHING is online! I hope you get it all back and quickly. ~Stacey

Oh my goodness. We have had small cases of identity theft happen to us, but never something like that. I am so sorry, but so thankful that Seth needed cash and noticed it. Praise God for that! Whew... not fun at all...
