I texted my husband back and asked him what the boys were doing.
He said, "I told them to act like they were having fun."
I know they are having fun. I even know my husband is having fun. I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures and hearing lock-in stories. I just texted my hubby again to ask him to make sure to get at least one picture of him with my son. If that picture gets taken, I'll share it in another post.
What did I do tonight?? Oh, this Momma had fun. I had a babysitter come over and then I went to a friend's house. A group of us girls sat around and talked for hours. We also painted our toenails. I'd share a picture but I don't really like my feet. It was a wonderful night -just the break I needed. I had a very, very busy week.
What about the kids at home? They had fun, too. They had ice cream, enjoyed tickle fights, and listened to stories. My youngest even learned how to crawl out her crib while I was gone.
I'm not so sure that was fun for my babysitter.

Hooray for girl time! Sounds like a fun time all around for your family!
Both of my boys were in scouts. I can remember those overnight camping trips and lock-ins. I loved them because I would have a night to myself!

Well it sure does sound like everyone had fun. You got a babysitter and went out with friends? That is awesome. I sure wish i had a babysitter to call for those type of things...if my mom cannot watch them i am up a creek...because I don't know anyone that babysits. Sad but true. Good for your whole family just having some fun! I love nights like that.

Derek and Jackson were at the scout lock-in too. It sounded like torture to me. They seemed to like it!

Good luck with that crib-climbing baby. My youngest pulled that stunt back in October and we had 2 months of nonsense before bedtime became 'normal' again. Ugh.
