A Latte Pain

I've decided that ordering a tall, skinny latte won't transform me into a tall, skinny beauty.

This is my third week going to a local gym. My workouts have left me feeling great. I've had a more energy. I've felt more confident. I've gone to bed earlier. It's been a wonderful change.

And then yesterday I went to my first class.

It was called Total Body Fitness. It feels like Total Body Failure.

Every muscle in my body hurts. I've discovered muscles I didn't know I existed. There are over 630 muscles by the way. I had to look it up because all I can think about is my aching muscles.

And, I've decided that I will never make fun of someone for being sore again. All of those years of teasing my husband after his tough Army PT... I feel bad. I feel really bad. It hurts. Oh, it hurts.

I am in a lot of pain. It's a good pain (I think). But, oh, how it hurts!

I treated myself to a pumpkin spice latte this afternoon. I am still in pain but this latte is delightful.

Oh, I ache for you. And, once again, I'm inspired to work out a little harder. Or maybe a lot. It's been a while since I've had that level of sore.

Oh yes, muscle pain from workouts is horrible. I'm glad the latte is at least making you feel better mentally.

Feeling your pain here! One of my LBCC benefits is that I can take a class. I haven't been using it but decided it was silly to keep letting it go to waste. The only thing that fit in my schedule was a workout class--my body was definitely not prepared for "step 360 boot camp"! Ouch! But it is the
most fun I've had being miserable in a long while--I just wish I could be that focussed on my own.

Can't believe you went to this 2 of my friends do this class at LVAC at 5am and have been trying to get me to go. One was just talking to me about it yesterday at soccer- they both look great but it sounds hard!

You HAVE to try the carmel salt mocha latte! SO good!

Just think, you won't hurt so much next time :) I'm always amazed that, when I do something different like walking instead of running or such, how there are new muscles getting used that I didn't know were there before. They have a way of making themselves known!
