Snow Play

Day 13: Eat snowman treats and play with "snow" indoors.

Our afternoon treat was snowmen faces made out of powdered doughnuts, cut up carrots, chopped chocolate chips and icing:

The kids loved them.

The kids thought that our Christmas fun thing, as they like to call it, was done. Boy were they surprised! They went into the other room to find stations set up for them to play in the "snow."

I was sure that my younger two kids would love this activity but I was unsure if it would be enjoyed by all. It was loved by each of them (age 4, 6, 8 and 10). My 10 year old led the way in building a snow mountain.

The shaving cream can was easy enough for my 4 year old to work.

The kids could use paintbrushes or their hands.

Army men got to play in the snow, too.

Sounds effects were animated.

The snow was prettied up with glitter.

A great time was had by all.

Cleanup was minimal. I carried the containers to the bathroom and washed them out in the shower.

Did I say cleanup was minimal? Well, it would have been...

It's just that I'm just the kind of mom that says "yes" when my I-love-to-get-messy son asks,
"Can I paint my belly?"

Ho Ho Ho!

Ha! I'm sure my boys would have done the same thing. Nolan was just telling me earlier today how his teacher let them spell words in shaving cream. My only thought was, "Well, I'm glad you get to do it there so I don't have to clean up the mess."

Oh!! How much fun is that? I don't remember the last time we played with shaving cream. We are going to have to do that very soon! Thank you so much for the reminder! And thank you for such a great treat to make to go along with it!

I love this post so much! What wonderful memories for your kiddos! Maybe I'll try 12 days next year not sure I could do all 25 like you! Super Cool!
